this is a slightly older photo my hair is longer now

Ever since I was a child I’ve been passionate about spending too much time on the computer. Doodling in MS Paint turned into making skins for Yahoo Messenger and my iPod Video, which turned into video game modding. Eventually, this turned into having a 3d cosmetic asset I created being officially sold to thousands of players in Team Fortress 2, a game known for its revolutionary art direction that first got me interested in the creative potential of computer graphics.

After a brief stint as a Disney World janitor, I headed off to college to pursue a degree in animation, where I discovered motion design and fell in love with the way it encourages creative storytelling, experimentation, and aesthetic variety. Since then, I’ve worked on creating compelling and beautiful visuals for clients such as Amazon, United Airlines, Ford, the USPS, Chevron, Bayer, Michelin, the Smithsonian, and the Colorado Rockies.

After the events of 2020, I sought out ways to supplement my professional career with work that aligned with my values. This lead me to creating animations for educational videos with The Gravel Institute, founded by the late former U.S. Senator Mike Gravel, and with Inequality Media, founded by former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich. One of my videos was praised by Susan Sarandon and another was criticized by Elon Musk, both of which I consider to be victories.

Outside of work you can find me on a long walk around my neighborhood or trying to get the best photos of the wildlife in Tears of the Kingdom. I love live music and am an avid collector of pins and JFK memorobilia. And I’m pretty good at bar trivia. Get in touch with me if you’d like to work together and we can make something really cool :)
